Butter Keepers with Water Seal
Always fresh butter – with or without a refrigerator.
Our butter keepers with water seal protects using a simple but ingenious method:
Water separates the butter from the air, keeping it fresh, spreadable and aromatic for longer.
It is possible without a refrigerator and without any extras.
Unlike in football – here the square must go into the round!
Use
The bottom part is filled with water to a height of at least approx. 1 cm. The butter is pressed into the top part. The latter could be seen as a disadvantage of this butter dish, but now for the advantage:
Function
When closed, the water stops the supply of oxygen, meaning that the butter loses hardly any of its quality and retains its flavour. Stored in a place that is not particularly warm, butter keeps significantly longer than in a normal container in the refrigerator thanks to this principle. It also turns much less yellow.
Who needs this?
Firstly, anyone who prefers their butter to be spreadable and therefore cannot store it in the refrigerator. Without such a tin and without refrigeration, butter begins to go rancid within a few hours.
Secondly, the tin will delight anyone who values fresh taste. It can of course also be stored in the refrigerator.
Care
Like all our ceramics, the tin is completely dishwasher safe.
