This pot is great for a whole block of butter, a small piece of cheese, and loads more.
This pot can hold a whole 250 g block of butter. To fit it in, you may need to press down on the corners by about a millimetre. We deliberately do not make them any larger in order to retain the handy round shape. The space on the sides is left for cutting the butter.
The wooden lid has no particular advantage or disadvantage in terms of the butter's shelf life. This butter dish should be stored in the refrigerator as normal. The advantage becomes apparent during everyday use.
The lid, made of three-layer spruce wood, is food-safe oiled, and the ceramic handle is permanently glued.
Our vibrant glazes vary in colour and texture
Glaze colour
We glaze the outside in five different colours, all with a natural, vibrant texture and in such a way that the ceramic remains visible in the lower section.
yellow-brown

green-blue

black-anthracite

blue-shaded

white-sand

The inner glazes not only meet the (by our standards) low standard of ‘food safety’, but are also completely non-toxic.
The colour structure is unique to each vessel; no two are exactly alike. To get an overview, you can also look at the same glaze on the other shapes.
Materials:
Vessel: 1300°C stoneware with feldspar glaze (highly resistant and impact-proof)
Lid: breathable, three-layer spruce wood, food-safe oiled, 13 mm (important for moisture permeability), impact-resistant (very pleasant for everyday use)
